The main methods for treating exhaust gas in paint spraying rooms

23 Aug, 2024 8:44am

As is well known, if the exhaust gas treatment in the paint booth is not up to standard, it will still have an impact on our environment. Therefore, when carrying out exhaust gas treatment, it is still necessary to ensure that the exhaust gas meets the emission standards. Whether it is the exhaust gas generated from painting booth operations or other environments, the commonly used methods are universal and not familiar to most people. However, those who frequently come into contact with exhaust gas treatment work are still familiar with them. Let's learn together with the editor about the commonly used exhaust gas treatment methods. It is important to choose the appropriate method according to your needs for operation.

1、 Water spray method: water spray method is widely used. Its principle is to separate pollutants and clean gases by spraying water on waste gas emission and settling water soluble or large particles.

2、 Adsorption method: This type of exhaust gas is paint spraying exhaust gas, mainly composed of two parts: liquid paint mist and gaseous VOC. For liquid paint mist, a paint mist removal device should be used; But for insoluble VOCs, the mature industrial technology should still be the "activated carbon adsorption+photocatalytic oxidation desorption combined exhaust gas purification system".

3、 Cut off method: It is achieved by using special filtering materials, placing them in the exhaust process, and cutting them off by machines to achieve management results. Advantages: High obedience to paint mist management, no skill requirements, simple operation. Disadvantage: Poor performance in removing organic matter.

4、 Condensation method: By condensing and cooling, when the temperature is below the solidification point of harmful substances, gaseous harmful substances are transformed into liquid and dispersed from the atmosphere. Advantages: Stable operation, high purification compliance. Disadvantages: Large investment, high requirements for the situation and operators, high operating costs.

From this, we know that there are four commonly used methods for waste gas treatment in the paint booth, whether it is water spray, adsorption, disconnection or condensation, which have different effects in the process of waste gas treatment, as well as different advantages and disadvantages.
